We also perform live covers of contemporary pop/rock songs. Two of the band members are talented vocalists and our versatility means that we can provide for probably any request in this genre. We have an extensive repertoire of songs that we commonly play and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you would like a look at a list of these. We can also provide a disco. Basically, we tailor our services to your specific requirements and can accommodate more or less any requests. We have an extensive playlist of tracks to play between dances and during any longer breaks. By way of an example, a typical evening involves the first ceilidh set lasting between 90-120 minutes followed by a break of approximately 45 minutes. A second dancing set usually follows but it can be adapted to include a longer disco/covers set if requested. We can also perform live covers of contemporary pop/rock songs between dances or in the break between the dancing sets - the choice is yours! Our quote will be tailored to the details of your specific event, however we are committed to providing a professional ceilidh service at a reasonable cost. We are a four piece consisting of Fiddle, Guitar, Bass and Full Kit Drums. We also provide an experienced 'caller' to guide guests through the steps of dances. The music that we typically play for ceilidh dancing is mainly in the West-Coast Scottish Traditional style, although the instrument setup and the way we play provides a very contemporary sound. Our bass player and drummer are from a rock background which is reflected and gives the sound a modern and funky edge. We commonly perform dances such as the Gay Gordons, Military 2 Step, Strip The Willow, Dashing White Sergeant and other ceilidh favourites, however we have music and steps for over thirty different dances so we are probably aware of any specific dance requests you may have.
